Additionally, for over a decade he has consistently pursued sacred knowledge from traditional scholars in the United States, Syria, and Pakistan, including a three-year stay in Islamabad. He possesses several formal authorizations in the Islamic sciences including an authorization in the science of Islamic spirituality (Tasawwuf).
