The accumulated quantity of Western social science literature on underdevelopment since the second world war is impressive. Yet, there is hardly any reference to the other sides of underdevelopment. That is, the psycho-cultural underdevelopment.
The latter can be measured in underdevelopment/developing societies by such manifestations like the desire to imitate the West, suffering from inferiority complex towards it, using western languages instead of native ones, third world dependency on western modern science and knowledge, the diffusion of western cultural values in developing countries and more.
