Description from the publisher:
The first part of this book was printed and published in 1957, but in such a limited number that it could not meet the demands of eager readers. Later on events took such a turn that a second edition could not be published as desired and the remaining two parts I had promised my readers could not be completed for want of time. And now that the second part had been complete I entrusted both the parts to Malik Brothers of Llyalpur (Now Faisalabad) on a permanent basis and they managed to have both published together in one volume, thus providing the enthusiastic readers with what they wanted.
This book comprises some lectures for the uninitiated. And since they were delivered with a view to create a written book; they have the sequence and flow of a written book also. This book is the best of my religious thought. As a result of decades of deep thought and my study of the faith and the Shari’ah, a part of the spirit imbibed by me I have tried to present in so many words in these pages. The rest of it is secure in my memory and God alone knows whether I shall ever be able to present it to the readers. In the first part of this book I have dealt with the purification of thought (knowledge) and in the second part with that of conduct; the discussion on the theme of purification of the dealings and mutual relations have not been written yet.
