Allah the most high says, “I created not the Jinn and humans except that they should worship Me (alone).”

[Surah adh-Dhariyaat(51):56]

Any type of worship mingles with even a mustard seed amount of shirk, all the worships unto Allah (All kinds of Ibadah) will be destroyed and invalidated. And whoever committed Shirk would be thrown to the Hell-fire eternally. So every Muslim should realize all the four principles of Shirk are the most important matter for him to learn.

“Verily Allah forgives not shirk (i.e., associating partners with Him in worship), but He forgives except that (anyone else) to whom He pleases.”[Surah an-Nisa(4):48]

Knowing Shirk comprises of knowing four principles that Allah has mentioned in His book.

Moreover , on the authority of Anas, who said: I heard the messenger of Allah say: Allah the almighty has said:”O son of Adam, so long as you call upon Me and ask Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind. O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, were you to come to me with sins nearly as great as the earth and were you then to face Me, ascribing no partner to me, I would bring you forgiveness nearly as great as it’s.” related by Al-Tirmithi, who said that it was a good and sound Hadith.

Description from the publisher:

Until September 11, 2001 few Westerners had ever heard of "Wahhabism." Now most of us recognize the word as describing an austere and puritanical type of Islam, mentioned frequently in connection with Osama bin Laden and Saudi Arabia and often named as the inspiration behind the 9/11 terror attacks. The word "Wahhabi" stems from the name of the founder of this system of thought, Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab (1702-1791), companion and religious adviser to Muhammad Ibn Saud, founder of the House of Saud. In this book Natana DeLong-Bas offers an in-depth study of the written works of al-Wahhab. She focuses on four areas: theology, legal theory, proselytizing through education and jihad, and law on women. Through a close reading of al-Wahhab's texts she demonstrates that many aspects of 20th- and 21st-century Wahhabi extremism do not have their origins in his writings. Examples of this extremism include the emphasis on jihad, martyrdom and militancy, and misogyny. The strict division of the world into dar al-Islam and dar al-kufr, according to which only Wahhabi adherents are considered to be true Muslims and all others are non-Muslims who must be fought, is entirely absent from al-Wahhab's work. Instead, argues DeLong-Bas, all of these themes were only added to Wahhabi teachings in the 19th century following armed engagement with the Ottoman Empire. DeLong-Bas's study fills an enormous gap in the literature about Wahhabism by returning to the original writings of the founder of the movement. She debunks the common journalistic portrayal of Muhammad Ibn Abd al-Wahhab as an illiterate, rural bumpkin with no scholarly formation. Her revisionist reading of al-Wahhab's thought will be controversial but impossible to ignore. The book will be essential reading for students and scholars of Islam as well as for those interested in the background of this dangerous modern ideology.

Publisher: International Institute of Islamic Thought (2010)
Pages: 398 Binding: Hardcover

Description from the publisher:

This book is not one with a political agenda. It is meant neither to support nor to critique any contemporary regimes or policies. Indeed, the driving force behind this work is much greater and more important than that. It has to do with, first the religion of Islam as preached by the Prophet himself, and second, with the honour and rights of an individual Muslim, Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab.

The name Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab has been heard often throughout both the Muslim and non-Muslim worlds during the past 2 centuries. In reality, Ibn Abdul Wahhaab is not a man who is "shrouded in mystery". His writings, as well as the writings of his closest students and descendents, are well known and easily available today in virtually any part of the world. Although he is not shrouded in mystery what has been said about him over the years has definitely been filled with both fact and fiction.

Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab was both a fellow human being and a fellow Muslim. As such, he has the right to be studied in an impartial and objective manner. In this work, an attempt has been made to present a fair and accurate presentation of the life and teachings of Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhaab. To accomplish this goal, conclusions were derived based only on the most historically and logically reliable, accurate, substantiated and proof-based sources -- be they from Muslims or non-Muslims.

Description from the publisher:

Introduction:

This book contains three little known epistles by Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al Wahhab written toward the end of his career. In them, the great reformer compressed all the essentials of his mature thought and presented it in succinct form for the instruction of the public. The addressee, in every case, is his pupil or follower who, having convinced himself of the truthfulness of the plea, is now being instructed in art of convincing others. Both addressee-follower and contender are presumed Muslims, holding to the veracity of the Quran as the reported word of God and to the authentic Hadith as the normative and binding directive of the Prophet-Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. The logical appeal is therefore in every case to internal coherence. Abhorring inconsistency and self-contradiction, the Islamic mind has always sought to systematize its truth-claims and harmonize them together. Its driving inspiration has been the ideational equivalence and absolute convertibility of the unity of Allah (al-tawhid) and the unity of truth (wahdat al Haqq). On this account it has aspired to keep itself free from ambiguity and imprecision, and has always sought to express itself in clear and distinct terms. And it has succeeded!

Description from the publisher:

The Sheikh titled it “The Obligation of the Servant when Allah commands him with a command”.

What is the servant’s obligation towards Allah’s – the Blessed and Exalted – commandments? This is the thing that the Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab – May Allah have mercy upon him, tries to make obvious in this brief treatise that is of great benefit and lofty status. And this is a brief explanation for this book. I [Sheikh Raslan] ask Allah the Exalted by His beautiful names and His perfect attributes that He grant us sincerity and acceptance in regards to this treatise.

I say [Sheikh Raslan]: Knowledge of that which Allah has commissioned His servant with and establishing it in a manner that fits the charge [by Allah]; whereas it is executed [Allah’s commandments] and is abandoned [Allah’s prohibition] is the purpose why Allah created the creation.

ISBN: None
Author: Dr. Saalih Ibn Fawzaan al Fawzaan
Publisher: Sunnah Publishing (2007)
Pages: 272 Binding: Paperback

Description from the publisher:

So when the call to Tawheed in this land began to shine - and the praise is for Allah - upon the hand of the Sheikh, the Imam, the renewer: Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab and the dark clouds of Shirk and innovations began to disperse, there was no sympathy for the enemies of the Religion from the disbelievers, the hypocrites, the innovators and story-tellers. So they are fabricated lies against the Shaykh and against his da'wah.

So they said that Ibn Abdul-Wahhaab wants to change the Religion of the Muslims and that he came with a new Religion and that he has come to declare the Muslims to be disbelievers…So the people of al-Qaseem wrote to him to ask him about that. And this is something good, that you do not believe widespread rumors, so you write to the person to ask him about them. They wrote to him to ask him about his aqeedah, because it had been reviled amongst them and it was said that he was a man who wanted to declare the people disbelievers, to fight the people and to change the Religion of the people and other statements were said.

So the Sheikh wrote this aqeedah in order to clarify his beliefs and to prove that his aqeedah was the aqeedah of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa'ah and that he did not come with anything new and that whatever was attributed to him was a lie...

So that is the basis of this treatise, in which he answered a questions about his ‘aqeedah…So when the news of the Shaykh and whatever had been circulated about him reached them, they wrote to him to ask him about his ‘aqeedah. So he wrote this treatise to clarify in it his ‘aqeedah and what he was upon and he removed any doubts to the contrary.

Explanation of the 'Aqeedah of the Imaam, the Reformer, Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahhaab (Dr. Saalih Ibn Fawzaan al Fawzaan) 10415
ISBN: 9786035010788
Author: Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab; Sameh Strauch (compiler, editor, translator)
Publisher: International Islamic Publishing House
Pages: 400 Binding: Hardcover

Description from the publisher:

“There is none worthy of worship other than Allah.” This fundamental Islamic statement of faith sums up the concept of tawheed, or perfect monotheism. That there is one and only one God is the basis of all monotheistic religion. Yet, despite the simplicity of this belief, many people who claim to believe in one divine Creator have fallen into errors which negate their testimony of faith.

Back in the 12th Century H (18th Century CE), the author felt compelled to write this book because he saw Muslims who had corrupted their beliefs and actions by that with contradicted the pure monotheistic positions of Islam. He witnessed the religious veneration of historical sites and graves, supplications made for the intercession of deceased saints, belief in omens, distortions of the meaning of Allah’s names and attributes, and the use of expressions which contradict the belief in Allah’s Oneness. In an effort to purify Islam from this falsehood, the esteemed shaykh collected proofs from the Noble Qur’an and the teaching of Allah’s Messenger to explain all aspects of true monotheism.

Sameh Strauch has rendered this famous text into an English translation that is unique in its clarity. Each bit of textual evidence is followed immediately by an explanation of its points of benefit. Where needed for additional clarification, Strauch adds information from recognized Arabic commentaries on Kitab at-Tawheed, making this book an invaluable guide to understanding the fundamental Islamic creed.

Publisher: Al Ibaanah Book Publishing (Jan. 2009)

Description from the publisher:

This book consists of several scholarly explanations of the classical work on Tawheed and Shirk. "The Four Rules", which was written by the Imaam and Mujaddid of the 13th century, Muhammad bin ‘Abdil-Wahhaab, may Allah have mercy on him. It is called "The Four Rules" because it consists of four fundamental basics which one can use to distinguish a believer from a disbeliever and a polytheist from a monotheist. This treatise is considered one of the Imam’s more significant works. Even though it may be more concise than some of his other works, it is just as comprehensive in terms of the information covered and points of benefit discussed. Shaikh Saalih Al-Fawzaan said: "If you come to learn and understand these rules, it will become easier for you to afterward understand the Tawheed that Allah sent His Messenger with and revealed His books upon, and it will become easier for you to understand the Shirk that Allah warned against and whose danger and harm in this life and the Hereafter He spoke about." In an effort to bring the most benefit to the English reader, translations of eight separate explanations of this monumental work have been included in this present publication. It is hoped that the inclusion of all these explanations will provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of this book and the subjects it covers. About the Author:

The various authors who have explained this treatise consist of some of the well known and respected people of knowledge of this era, alive and deceased, and all of whom are from Saudi Arabia. May Allah reward them for their efforts. A brief biographical account of each author has been included before each treatise within this publication.
