Description from the publisher:
Here is a new series of books with a difference, for it is geared to children of pre-school and primary levels. While endeavoring to teach the basics of Islam, it is most important that a book holds the child’s attention, arousing his curiosity and interest. This series aims at imparting Islamic information to children in an enjoyable manner suitable to their age levels. The language, style, illustration and arrangement of each book is geared to this goal.
At the same time, we have included an aid for teachers - a standardized transliteration system for Arabic words with a chat for reference at the beginning of each book. This will help the teacher who has mastered the pronunciation of Arabic letters to impart it to children even while using the English medium.
Beginning with Book Two, Arabic script will be gradually introduced. Thus, at an age when learning is easiest for him, the Muslim child will acquire a foundation for reading and (it is hoped) eventually the understanding of the Quran.
May Allah, the Almighty, be out guide, and may He accept and bless our humble contribution to the urgent and gigantic task of producing Islamic material for a new generation of people – a task which we have undertaken in all humility and hope.
