Individual Book Descriptions --
Articles 1 -- A man examining the universe with wisdom and conscience sees that everything is created and therefore is a sign of the existence of Allah. What matters is to be able to look at the universe from this conscientious viewpoint. In this book, comprising some of the articles by Harun Yahya published in recent years in various newspapers and periodicals, you will read the most important responsibility of man is to glorify his Creator, Who created him fromnon-existence and granted him whatever he possesses and also see how the theory of evolution is invalidated by scientific findings and experiments with a concise and simple language.
Devotion Among Animals --
Devotion and cooperation in animals provide evidence of an important truth: that the whole universe has been created by a superior being; and that each and every creature acts on the inspiration of God, its Creator. In this book, you will be reading about some of the astonishing and admirable behaviors exhibited by animals, who have no power of intellect. Anyone of reason and conscience will easily understand that such behavior can occur only by the power and control of God, the Lord of all living things.
Idealism, Philosophy of Matrix --
Many of the movies that have hit the big screen in recent years question the life of this world and point out that environments created in dreams or simulations by means of artificially generated signals can be very realistic indeed. This book examines sections of thought-provoking films that have a lasting impression on people and cause them to reflect on some realities. These explanations describe a scientific fact that is recognized around the world, and thus peopleís acceptance or rejection thereof has no impact whatsoever on the reality of matterís nature.
Justice and Compassion in the Quran --
While you read these lines, injustice wins out in many societies all over the world. For the solution, a morality which will enable people to set aside their personal benefits for the sake of justice is needed. This morality is the Qur'anic morality, that Allah teaches and commands us. Qur'anic morality commands a pure justice with no discrimination between people, and in favor of the rightful and truthful.
Learning from the Quran --
The Qur'an is not a book that consists solely of lawful and unlawful deeds; it covers a wide range of subjects, including descriptions pertaining to moral perfection, various characteristics of human beings, all situations and circumstances that are likely to occur in this life, information related to the life of this world and the hereafter, fear of God, love for Him, the ways to attain the good pleasure of God, etc. In brief, the Qurían is a book that consists of all the information that man may need throughout his life.
It is the Book the Creator has sent to the created and it will remain as the sole guide for humanity until the Day of Judgement. A believer who becomes aware of the importance and indispensability of the Qur'an to his life must have a good knowledge of the Qurían so that he can conduct his entire life in line with the principles of the Qurían and thus serve God as is due. This book is prepared to strengthen the knowledge of the Qurían for those who wish to get to know Allah, who are willing to meticulously perform their duties as servants of Allah, reorient their lives in line with the values of the Qurían and make attaining the good pleasure, mercy and Paradise of Allah their main objective.
Maryam , An Exemplary Muslim Woman --
Allah made it possible for people to understand how to live the Qur'an's morality by giving examples from the Prophets' and other Muslims' lives. One of these sincere Muslims is Maryam, one of the two women noted for their exemplary characters: "Allah has made an example for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said: 'My Lord, build a house in the Garden for me in Your presence, rescue me from Pharaoh and his deeds, and rescue me from this wrongdoing people.' And Maryam, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity-We breathed Our Spirit into her. She confirmed the Words of her Lord and His Book, and was one of the obedient". (Surat at-Tahrim: 11-12)
Allah introduces Maryam as having "the ideal Muslim woman's character." This character is completely different than the common character of women in today's unbelieving societies, where they usually share a common socially acceptable character handed down from their ancestors. According to the Qur'an, however, men and women have the same responsibilities and characters, for Allah refers to "an ideal Muslim character."
Matter : The Other Name for Illusion --
We are taught to think that these images and feelings are caused by a solid world outside of our brains, where material things exist. However, in reality we never see real existing materials and we never touch real materials. In other words, every material entity which we believe exists in our lives, is, in fact, only a vision which is created in our brains.
Signs of God : Design in Nature --
Let us for a moment think of an aspirin; you will immediately recall the mark in the middle. This mark is designed to help those who take a half dose. Every product that we see around us, even if not as simple as the aspirin, is of a certain design, from the vehicles we use to go to work, to TV remote controls. Design, in brief, means a harmonious assembling of various parts in an orderly form designed for a common goal. Going by this definition, one has no difficulty in guessing that a car is a design. This is because there is a certain goal, which is to transport people and cargo. In realisation of this goal, various parts such as the engine, tires and body are planned and assembled in a factory
Some Secrets of the Qur'an --
For those who learn these secrets of the Qurían, the life of this world is very easy, and full of joy and excitement. This book deals with the subjects related to those verses God related to people as a secret.
Stories for Thinking Children Book 2 --
Children! What do you know about termites, those hard-working creatures resembling ants? Do you know that butterflies with their beautiful wings start out as tiny caterpillars and finally emerge from cocoons? Do you know how woodpeckers hide tiny acorns in holes in oak trees, how it is that glow-worms are not burned by the light they give off, how frogs camouflage themselves to hide from their enemies, or how it is that seals do not freeze in the icy oceans..? The stories you read in this book will give you lots of facts about those and many other fascinating subjects. As you read these stories you will think in detail about the animals in them and see just how flawlessly Allah has created them all.
The Errors of the NAS --
In 1999, the National Academy of Sciences, USA, published a booklet called Science and Creationism: A View from the National Academy of Sciences. The aim of this booklet was to respond to the creation/evolution debate by bringing together the most important proofs of evolution. The booklet was regarded as a most important source by evolutionists from all over the world. Evolutionist circles published the text free of charge on their Internet sites.
The Glad Tidings of the Messiah --
Jesus, whom God supported with superior wisdom, is set apart from the other Prophets in several aspects, among them that he spoke even in the cradle, and that he was the vehicle for countless miracles while he was in this world. That his status is different also can be deduced from the fact that he was raised to God's presence and that the Qur'an indicates strongly his second coming.
Jesus' second coming is a very great gift of God for all humanity. For the first time ever in their lives, all people alive at that time will see a Prophet of superior human qualities. While reading this book, the reader will come to know of Jesusí miraculous life and realize that we live in a very special time. Given that his second coming will be an extraordinary, miraculous, and metaphysical event that will affect the whole world, all believers should prepare and mobilize to welcome him in the best possible way. All of the signs indicate that the second coming will take place soon, so there is no time to waste.
The Miracle in the Mosquito --
Eyesight cannot perceive God, but He has spread boundless evidence of His existence before the eyes of man. He has made manifest His infinite intelligence and knowledge in His chosen beings. With His endless grace, He gives unimaginable tasks to the most unexpected, humble, even brainless creatures. As a result, many creatures, whether large or small, from birds to reptiles, from whales to insects, exhibit unexpected behaviour and actions that fill people with admiration. These behaviours are surprising to most people. Even man, who sees himself as an intelligent, knowledgeable and conscious being, is humbled in the face of many of these skillsófor example, the spiderís ability to produce strands stronger than steelóand does not even have the power to imitate them.
The subject of this book, the mosquito, is just one such creature, aspects of whose behaviour fill us with admiration. However, it is the creature we are most used to and encounter most commonly of these, and possibly the one we give the least thought to and consider as worthless. So, why the mosquito? The answer to this question is given in the Qurían: God is not ashamed to make an example of a mosquito or of an even smaller thing. As for those who believe, they know it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, ìWhat does God mean by this example?î He misguides many by it and guides many by it. But He only misguides the deviators. (Qurían, 2:26)
The Qur'an Leads the Way to Science --
God summons humanity to investigate and reflect upon the heavens, the earth, mountains, stars, plants, seeds, animals, the alternation of the night and the day, the creation of man, the rain and many other created things. Examining these, man comes to recognize the artistry of God's creation in the world around him, and ultimately, to know his Creator, Who created the entire universe and everything in it from nothing.
Religion not only encourages scientific study, but also permits that, supported by the truths revealed through religion, scientific research be conclusive and expeditious. The reason being, that religion is the only source to provide accurate and definitive answers as to how life and the universe came into being. There is one fact that must be recognized clearly: science can achieve reliable results only if it adopts as its main objective the investigation of the signs of creation in the universe, and strives solely towards this end. Science may reach its ultimate goal in the shortest possible time only if it is pointed in the right direction, that is, if it is rightly guided.
The Signs of Prophet Jesus (pbuh) Second Coming --
The Qur'an and the related hadiths tell us that Jesus (pbuh) will come back to Earth again in the End Times, the times preceding the Day of Judgment. In addition, the signs of this event as revealed in the New Testament have parallels with those stated in the hadiths. Jesusí return to Earth, a belief held by both Christians and Muslims, will end this world's all-pervasive cruelty and injustice and transform it into a place of peace, abundance, and justice. This book examines the signs of Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) second coming from the Islamic sources and how the signs that they provide have come true one by one.
People witnessing these signs may, by God's Will, hope that his return is close. The world is also getting sociologically prepared for such a great event. The chain of events through which humanity has passed during the last two centuries has, both covertly and overtly, raised the expectation of a savior in the minds of people all over the world. People have increasingly seen that materialistic ideologies and lifestyles cannot save humanity; rather, they lead humanity closer to disaster and emptiness. This situation has caused many people to turn to the morality of religion. It is no coincidence that this sociological infrastructure has been established at a time when the signs of Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) second coming appear one after another. By God's Will, Prophet Jesus' (pbuh) return will cause religion's morality to pervade all over the world and all sincere believers to attain security. Along with all other believers, we hope that our Lord will honor us by letting us meet this blessed visitor and enable us to make the best preparations to meet him.
Why Darwinism is Incompatible with the Qur'an --
This book replies from a very different perspective to the errors of those believers who still support the theory of evolution. Muslims who believe in the theory of evolution must consider this book carefully. Some may support the theory because they are unaware of its underlying philosophy, that it is supported solely for the sake of atheism. This book displays what they fail to see.
